5-23-12 Do you feel it is the United State's job as a world power to police the rest of the world? Should the United States protect smaller countries? Explain.
I think the United States should take control of the rest of the world. The US was capable of winning both wars and has enough strength to make decisions for the rest of the world. The united states makes smart decisions and will help others. Their army is strong enough to be able to protect other smaller countries. With them helping, many wars can be prevented and other brawls. The United States has the strength to lead the rest of the world.
I think the United States should take control of the rest of the world. The US is strong enough to control other countries. They won both wars and they are also a very smart country. They know how to work when it comes to war. With the United States in control of the world there might not be as much chaos.
Even though is it in America's power to take control and "police" the rest of the world, I do not think that it would be in the best interest of anyone in the world. Even though it would be better for the smaller and in turn weaker countries of the world, soon they would tire of our rule and revolt. It would be even worse fo rthe stronger countries that have some power of their own, but lack the guidance to become a powerful force in the world. They would enjoy us making them powerful, but hey would instantly turn on us whne things were looking bleak. That is why I do not think it is a good idea for us to police the rest of the world.
I believe that it is United State's job as world power to police the rest of the world. It is obvious that with the help of the United States we have came out of the dark days, WWI & WWII. In fact, whichever side they would have chosen to be on, they would have won. Because of America's strong and organized army, I think to police other smaller countries wouldn't be a problem.
I think that the United States trying to control the rest of the world as a world power is a poor decision. This is because, although the United States tries to do the right thing in these countries, it is often not what the country wants. What the government of the United States is the right decision, is not always true for the remainder of the world. In order to prevent revolts and tension with other countries, I think that the United States should not interfere with the politics of other countries. Although doing the right thing is important, sometimes, the best thing to do is not get involved in a situation.
Yes, America was the strongest country at the time. They had won both wars and brought the other countries to peace. The United States rarely caused problems with any other countries. America was friendly with most countries that had no problem with them. Also they were at the top with weaponry which made them even stronger. If they had to, they would fight against other countries and most likely defeat them. They also had the leadership to help other smaller countries and if the countries were allies with them, they could even send a few troops to assist America in time of need.
I think that as one of the most powerful countries in the world the U.S. should start taking control over some other countries. They should help with little countries that can't protect themselves. They should be like Germany when Serbia was getting picked on. We are one the most, if not the most, powerful countries in the world. We should start acting like it.
In my opinion, I do believe that the United States should have the honor and "police" the other nations of the world. The United States at the moment is the most powerful nation and with one person in charge, maybe we can get out of this economic problem that we are facing. I do agree about the United States protecting smaller countries. Our army can uphold it and it would be the right thing to do. World War I was technically started because Germany wanted to keep control of Austria-Prussia. If the united States does protect countries that are small in size, maybe another World War can be prevented.
If someone is the oldest and has younger siblings its their job to protect them. So I feel it is the United State's job as a world power to police the rest of the world. The United states was the country with the most powerful army and was the most mature. The United States would have taken the best decisions for all of the smaller countries.The United States was the country that did not have problems with other countries so it would have been the best leader. I believe that since the United States was the most powerful it should have protected all the small countries.

We have a strong army and strong officials. We are very powerful. We should protect the little countries. If the U.S won the wars then they can take care of the smaller countries in need of help. Other countries wouldnt stand a chance against U.S so they would most likely not start fighting with the little countries.
The strongest people are usually the people who lead. They control others and help other out when they need it. America is the big guy. The US “policing” the rest world of the world is the best thing. Some small countries need help. We’ve been the reason that many countries have even war. I don’t think that the would turn. If you helped someone become strong do you think they would turn? If we helped make the small countries richer and stronger, they would be more grateful to us. Being the strongest we also need to help keep some of the big countries from getting too much power.
I do not feel that it is the United States job to police the rest of the world even though they are a world power. In my opinion the United States should stay away from other conflicts of smaller counties. I believe that this will only benefit them because involving yourself in other countries conflict will only make them angry. This could ultimately lead to a war between the countries and the United States do not want to go into a war for no reason. That is why I believethat it is not the United States job to police the rest of the world
I believe that the United States should help some smaller countries when help is needed but i do not feel that the United States should "police" the world. It is true that we are a strong country but that doesn't mean we should intervene in other countries' affairs. If we interfere with stuff that we don't belong in we could be seen as an enemy. There are some instances where the United States should definitely help another country but just not all the time and definitely not for the rest of the whole world.

The U.S. spends money, resources, and the lives of soldiers to aid others who would never return the favor. The U.S.'s meddling also causes grudges in some places. If the country isn't an ally of some sort, I do not think that we should help them, especially when they wouldn't do the same for us.
