My favorite Renaissance artist was Michelangelo. This is because, even though he was a sculptor and not a painter, when the Pope asked him to paint the Sistine Chapel, not only did he agree, but that painting is now one of the most famous in the world. Also, his statue of David is one of the most realistic sculpors of a person ever done. Not only was Michelangelo a great painter, but he was also a great thinker who proposed inventions that weren't created until cenuries later. That is why Michelangelo is my favorite Renaissance artist.

The painting was amazing because no matter what angle you looked at it seems as if her eyes followed you. But that’s not why I chose him. I chose him because he was also an amazing inventor. He created inventions like the glider. He was also ahead of his time like Michelangelo, he had ideas of things that were created thousands of years later like the helicopter.
