I would say in between strict and lenient. Today religion, no one takes religion serious, but everyone has there own opinion in religion. No one is forcing anyone to go to a mass at church or anything. If religions were strict it would be more of a way of life and an everyday thing. I don't think it should be more lenient or strict also because no has to be so religious, but it was good to be.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation,I believe life would be better if religions were not so linient or strict. I believe no one should be forced to go to church, but yet no one should sin. Everyone should at least pray for a God, but not be forced to go to a church to do so. No one should sin, but I dont think that it is right to punish someone who has sinned only a couple times. Being too strict with a religon will probably make people want to leave. But also, religion shouldnt be to lenient because people would take advantage and do as they please.
In my opinion religion shouldn't be too strict, but you should also not be lenient with it. Yes being religious is important, but to believe in it you don't need to go to your church or temple ever Sunday. I feel that if you miss church one day you don’t have to be too scared about it. But with it you should also not be too lenient. If it’s lenient some people would never pray, or go to church at all. The way religion is right now is just fine.
I think religions shouldn't be too lenient or too strict to its followers. Not everyone wants practice every single ritual or even just an everyday thing that their religion requires. Some religions enforce certain aspects that people do not like, causing the follower to not want to practice the religion. Religions should be an option to everyone, which in most cases today, it is. But I also do believe it would be a good idea to have a God of Gods to thank for giving you the life that you life every day.. And I don't think it should be okay to a religion to have someone go killing any little thing that bothers them. It is good to have some rules in a religion to keep people, I guess, civil? But too many can maybe get people a little crazy.
After learning about the Protestant reformation, I think that a religion needs to be not too strict or too lenient. This is because, if the religion is too strict, it scares people away and creates an ideal that is practically unatainable. However, religions should not be lenient to the point where murders and other hainous acts are okay. Religions should also not condone people who think that they can buy their way into salvation, as an example, but should also not be strict to the point of believing that if you miss a service or meeting you shouldn't attain salvation. I think that in order for a religion to work cohesively it should try to meet a happy medium between strict and lenient.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation I think that religions should be strict nor lenient. Religions should not be so strict its to the point where the people don't want to go there anymore. On the other hand it should be be so lenient that the people there can do whatever they want. Religion should find a safe in between where it balances out between strict and lenient. That way people aren't scared to go to church, but they also cannot do whatever they please.
From the current chapter, I’ve learned a lot about the Christian religion; mainly about Protestantism and Catholics. I believe that any religion shouldn’t be very strict or lenient. If you are too strict about beliefs for example, not doing certain things after the dark, to some people this will not make any sense and some things just do not happen to add up in religion, and this results into non-believers. Also if being too lenient, a person starts going away from the core ideas and may take advantage of it such as doing prayers whenever and wherever they wish. Religion should be an open option to everyone where they know they will only prosper.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation I think that religions shouldn't be too strict nor too lenient. I think that way because not every single person has the time to do every practice that their religion has. I'm not saying that God isn't important, but not everyone has the time to do every practice. That doesn't mean anyone can sin and get away with it. No matter what religion you practice, you still have to obey the rules. The religions can't be too strict or people won't want to follow any religion.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation, I believe that religion should be both. It should be lenient in a way because someone shouldn't be forced to go to church or practice a religion if they don't want to. It should be strict for people that want to practice it. They shouldn't be able to pay off there sins or repeatedly commit sins and be forgiven. They should have to be completely committed to the religion or not practice it at all.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation,I believe that religion shouldn't be either strict nor lenient. Religion is something that you as an individual choose to practice or believe in. Someone should not be forced to go to church or to believe in god that is his/her own choice. If someone sins, in no religion does it say that you can donate money and get salvation. Religion should be balanced if its to strict its not religion anymore, then its just someone ordering you to believe in something you don't believe in. But if its to lenient it can get out of hand no one believes in any religion in which you can pay to be forgiven for your sins.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation I think that religions shouldn't be strict and that they should be more lenient. Religion is one's beliefs and should be up to them. If someone doesn't want to go to church they shouldn't have to. I don't believe it's right to sin but if someone wants to, religion can't control someone's actions. Everyone has a choice in their own religion and that's the way it should be.
Seeing how the church leaders treated their followers, i think religion shouldn't be neither both too lenient or too strict. Lenient because no one should have to be forced practice a religion. They can either decide to practice whatever they want or not practice a religion at all. Saying that, they shouldn't go around sinning. Everybody sins but they should go to church to at least feel that they have been forgiven from their sins. So the churches should be both lenient and strict.
Many religions have different levels of strictness. I believe that A religion should be strict, but at a medium level. For instance, not everyone could make it to church every weekend. Some people happen to not be able to make one church mass, but that shouldn't make them sinners. For a person to be sinning, the should say commit a crime such as stealing or killing. Therefore, religions should have some strictness, but not an extreme amount of strictness.
I believe that religions should be firm, but not too strict. Being too strict could limit the quality of its followers lives or cause people not to pay attention to the rules at all. However, being too lenient does not set a good example for followers. Some would take it as a message that they do not need to be their best, try their best to have good morals, or work hard for things to work out for the best in the end. That's why rules that are not overbearing are important.
Learning about Protestant Reformation has made me think that religion today shouldn't be lenient nor strict, but more of in between. Personally, I belive religion should be a free will. One should not get punished for not going to church consecutively. Neither should they be allowed to " buy" their way into heaven after their sins. Salvation shouldn't be easily gained by money, but by earning it through the heart and honesty. I believe religion should be balanced.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation, I believe that religion should not be strict nor lenient. It should be somewhere in the middle. Religion is a part of our society. It is part of who we are and what we have always been. Religion by nature is strict, but it should simply teach truth and let individuals build a relationship with who they believe brought them into this world. Individuals should be able to believe in what they want, and not be restricted to religious beliefs. It narrows the mind.
After learning about the Protestant Reformation,I think that the religion should not be too strict or too lenient. It should be in the middle. If the church is to strict then it would be hard to concentrate on worshiping. You would be to busy making sure that you are not doing anything wrong. Now if the church is to lenient then the religion would be taken as a joke. you would think that its fine to sin. That's why it should be towards the middle so that its easy to worship but that there are still rules you have to follow.
After learing about the Protestant Reportmation, I believe that a religion should try to be as true to itself as possible. Whether a relgion is strict or lenient it should be up to the people if they want to follow that relgion or not. I personally believe that a relgion should be a bit on the lenient side and let the people worship at the degree as they please. People would enjoy being religiously active if they could be so at a time of their choosing.
