  1. Honestly, I'm not one hundred percent sure who may have had the most important impact on European expansion and the world in general. But from gathering information I concluded it could have been Christopher Columbus. He's well known back then and today. Therefore he must have been somewhat of an important impact. He also figured out a different way around to try to get to Africa. His thoughts guided him to a new land that was unimaginable! Christopher Columbus is difinitely the explorer that had most important impact on European expansiona dn the world in general.

  2. After learning about the many explorers in class, I think that the most important explorer was Vasco da Gama. This is because out of all the explorers, he was the one who actually found a sea route to Asia. Once he arrived in India, he brought back a cargo of spices to Portugal. By finding the sea route to India, Vasco da Gama expanded trade. He also made it much easier to trade with India as well as all of Asia.

  3. In my opinion, one of the most important explorers to Europe was Christopher Columbus. He discovered many little ilands across the coastline of South America. As he discovered these islands he became in contact with new riches such as different spices. He gave Europe a numerouse amount of islands, with all of these islands, Europe gained more money. In conclusion, Christopher Columbus was the most important explorer to Europe.

  4. After learning about the many explorers in class, I think that the most important explorers were ones that were not mentioned in class. I think that the viking were the most important and also the most underrated explorers in the world. Not only did they discovered North America hundreds of years before the Christopher Columbus did, but also discovered Greenland and Iceland. They purposely the icy country Greenland and the fertile country Iceland. That is why I believe the vikings were the most important explorers of all time.

  5. I believe that Christopher Columbus was the most significant explorer named in the chapter. He originally set sail hoping to find Asia, but in the end he did not accomplish this. Instead, he did something more important. He reached the Islands of the Americas and therefore opened up North and South America to the rest of Europe.

  6. i think Columbus is important to European exploration. He thought what would happen if he traveled West instead of East to get to Asia. He was a genious about the idea of the world not being flat. Instead of reaching Asia, he reached America. He discovered a new land.

  7. After learning about the explorers in class, i think that Christopher Columbus was the most important explorer to lead the expansion of Europe. He was the first to discover the West Indies. After he discovered the West Indies, many countries and explorers also wanted to discover land. After Columbus, there was there was John Cabot, Francisco Pizarro, and many more explorers. They all discovered and conquered territory for their country. As time past, many European countries sent their explorers to discover. they began to claim their own land leading to the expansion of Europe

  8. After learning about some explorers, i think Prince Henry had th emost important impact.
Portugal became the first country to explore because of him. If he didn't start the "school of navigation" there wouldn"t be exploration. He helped others know what to expect by using charts. Sailors that used his information traveled further. Prince Henry sailed across Africa with the help of his navigator.

  9. After learning about the many different explorers in class, I believe the Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus had the greatest influence on the world. He is credited with the discovery of America, and still today, we have parades that are celebrated in his honor. He belived that going west from Europe would let you arrive to Asia faster than going east from Europe. He is the one credited with the finding of the Westen Hemishere and the reason why or Global map looks the way it does today.

  10. In our World History class we have learned about many explorers and will continue to learn about more but as of now i believe the most important explorer is Christopher Columbus. He was an explorer, navigator and colonizer. He wanted to find the fastest route to Asia but instead he found the Americas. I believe that he impacted the world most because if he had not discovered the Americas we wouldn't be here right now. He did a lot for us.

  11. Learning about all the explorers and who did what, I've come to conclude they have all impacted us greatly. But if I had to choose, I would say Christopher Colombus. To this day, he has been given credit for discovering America. He discovered many islands on his way to Asia. Even though he did not reach Asia or fully discover America, he is most remembered. Colombus is also remembered for sailing in three ships on his exploration- The Nina, The Pinta, and the Santa Maria. Thanks to him, our lives are where we're at today.

  12. If i had to pick one explorer to be most important i would pick Christopher Columbus. He sailed the ocean looking for a shortcut to Asia. Instead of finding Asia he landed on present day Bahamas. He claimed it as Hispoñola, not knowing people were already inhabitants. I also picked him because he became world-wide famous. If you were to say his name today everybody would know who you were talking about.

  13. In my opinion, Chritopher Columbus had the greatest impact on the European Expanision. His idea of finding Asia by going west instead of east, found him undiscovered land. He discovered the Inslands in the South Americas and got the Eropeans many goods. This made Europe rich and wealthy. Still today, he is the one who is credited with finding America.

  14. After learning about the explorers, I believe that Prince Henry the Navigator was the most important. He had the courage to try traveling past the tip of Africa. Even though he didn't make it he gave the following explorers a chance to try to accomplish it. If he never tries then the others probably do not try
