My favorite style of entertainment is Romanticism. Romanticism uses emotion, fictoral characters and imagination. I like a form of art that is able to express creativity instead of the real tragedies and what not that goes on in the world. People know what goes on in the world, why should we read about it or watch a play about it. I like to read or see something that takes imagination just to visualize it. For example, in Spider Man, we all know it is impossible to shoot out spider webs from our arms and jump from building to building. But it is wonderful to be able to imagine it being true. Romanticism is a better form of entertainment.

It adresses realistic occurances rather than have a guy in tights fly around to save the day. Not all of these stories have happy endings, but neither does real life. I think that it is important for an author to present real stories because, they have much moree meaning and can have emotion as well. An example of this is Titinic, which was based on a true story, and although doesn't happen to eveyone, is realistic. Another example is the movie Lean on Me which was a true story as well.

Realism deals with real life things, but would you want to watch a story about someones life, or watch a movie with think that can only happen in your dreams. Romanticism movies are also a lot harder to create. Most of them take months of work to make, it takes someone with lots of creativity. With Realism its created with something you see and the plot is based of that, there's not creativity in that.

An example of romanticism film is "Narnia". It is about a girl who discovers a door which she passes through and enters a whole new land called narnia. She meets a lion that talks like a human, where do you see that? This is one of the reason why for entertainment, I would choose romanticism.
If I had to pick from the two styles I would pick realism. It shows the realities of life, everything that happens for real. In realism there are not always happy endings but that is the truth life doesn't always have happy endings.
