I think Montesquieu came up with the best idea on governing a society. He proposed the separation of powers. Montesqueiu came up with three branches of government: judicial, legislative, and executive. I believe his way of governing was the best because it helped keep it in balance. In order to make decisions, each branch had to consult one another in order to do so. His idea was obviously successful considering it is the way our government is run today.
I think Montesquieu came up with the best idea on governing society. He came up with three branches of government. They were: judicial, legislative, and executive. His idea was the seperation of powers. Montesquiee spilt up the government to check and balance himself. Today our government is runned the same way.
Many Enlightenment Thinkers (John Locke, Montesquieu, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, etc.) had ideas for the government. SOme of thse ieas were either extremly good, alright, and or horrible. The Enlightenment Thinker with the most extrodinary idea was MOntesquieu. His idea was a "Seperation of Powers". Within this seperation, the government was split into 3 different branches. The Judicial is the courts of law, the Legislative is the parliament, and the Executive is the monarchy. The way the Seperation of Powers worked was making laws or suggestions. No Judicial branch could make a law or action without presenting it to the other two branches, Legislative and Excutive Branch. It was a way of seeing other point of views to truly make this a better planet. Montesquieu believed this would help the citizens because if one branch came up with an idea, but the other two branches didn't agree, it would not affect the citizens. This was the most impacte idea because it is now used in present day America. Montesquieu thought of the best form of government that is now used today. This act of government is why i think Montesquieu is and was the best Enlightenment Thinker.
Montesquieu is the best enlightenment thinker. Instead of an absolute ruler, he had other people help him rule. He came up with 3 branches of government, Judicial, Executive, and Legislative. This allows there to be more than one say in government. There will be other people helping out in ruling. This caused everyone in the society he ruled to be involved with the decisions made within the empire.
Out of the many enlightenment thinkers we have spoken about, my favorite would have to be Montesquieu. There are many people who believe having one ruler is better but my opinion is that it is better to combine the minds of many people than one person. Montesquieu's idea was called "Separation of Powers". He came up with 3 branches of government. The Judicial is the courts of law, the Legislative is the parliament, and the Executive is the monarchy. This way worked in an order of if the Judicial branch has an idea or a law it would present it to the Executive and Legislative branches. They did that so they got the opinion of everyone. The idea that Montesquieu had thought of was use full and very effective because it is still used in the United States today. That is why i think Montesquieu came up with the best idea.
In my Opinion Voltaire and Diderot were the best of the philosophers. I say Voltaire because he was the one who started the idea of religious toleration. He fought for and he is known for the Treatise of Toleration, this reminded the government that we are all brothers under god. This is one ideal that America was based on. I also mention Diderot as being one of the best. This is because he wrote the first encyclopedia. Many ideas from this were take for the Enlightenment.
Out of all of the enlightenment thinkers that we learned about I think that Rousseau came up with the best idea. Rousseau's idea was that every one is created equal and should be treated equal. I think that this is the best idea because although it seems like a simple theory society didn't catch on to this idea for centuries after. This is exspecially strange when you think that our founding fathers put Rousseau's ideas into our constitution by stating that "All men are created equal." But, in reality, they didn't mean "All men," they really meant "all white men who own property." It is for this reason that I think Rousseasu had the best idea out of the enlightenment thinkers.
Montesquieu, a French noble man, I feel came up with the best idea on governing society. He used the scientific method to try to find the natural laws that govern the social and political relationships of human beings. He made the three basic kinds of government: republic, despotism, and monarchies. He also identified the three branches of government: executive, legislative, and judicial. And this separation caused none of the group to gain more power than the other; it was a system of checks and balances. Montesquieu’s ideas reflect the government that we have today.
Out of the many philosophers, I believe that Montisque had the best and smartest ideas. He believed that the government should split up the powers. Baisically, instead of making one man or woman a leader, there will be assistants to help the main leader. To make this possible, they made 3 branches, judical, legislative, and exucutive. They all have different duties within each branch. Some duties were making laws, the right to veto or not veto a law, and to have a trial. This type of system is still used today in the United States. It is very halpful and very smart.
Personally, I agree with the concepts conveyed by the laissez-faire doctrine. The Enlightenment thinker I like best is Adam Smith. He believed that the government should be only for protection, for maintaining justice, and for keeping up public works. This addresses a problem that people now, and then too, felt that they faced: the government can be too controlling or even unfair at times. Often there have been rulers/governors more concerned with power and prestige than than the well being of the general population.
Out of all the Enlightment thinkers, I think that Montesquieu had the best idea on governing society. He split the government into three branches. The three branches legislative, judicial, and executive. That meant that there wasn't just one person making a rule. An absolute ruler wouldn't exist in some countries because of his idea. It also made it easier to keep the government balanced and stable.
Out of all of the enlightenment thinkers that we learned about I believe that Rousseau came up with the best idea for governing society.. Rousseau thought that all men were created equal and should be treated as such. I think that this is the best idea because even though the priciple is fairly simple and straightforward, it was the first time that equaly was taken into consideration. America's founding fathers even put Rousseau's ideas into The Constituation by stating that "All men are created equal." In my opinion the person with the best ideas was Montesquieu. He came up with the basis of our current government today. The three branches of government that w have in our over gorvernment (judicial, legislative, and executive) was thought up by this one guy. What would our government be like today if it wasn't for Montesquieu. We wouldn't b the powerhouse country we are today.
In my opinion, I would say Montesquieu was the person with the best ideas during the Enlightenment period. He was a French noble that wrote a novel on the study of governments. He identified three basic kinds of governments. First was the republics, which were suitable for small states. Second was the government called despotism, which was suitable for large states. Third, there was the government called monarchies, which was suitable for medium sized states. He also stated about the separation of powers in a government. He came up with three branches for the separation, which were the judicial, legislative, and executive branches. Today, our country, USA, has a government following the three branches. His ideas help keep balance in a government.
I think Montesquieu was one of the best enlightners during that period of time. He made Branches of government wrote a novel on the study of Governments.Without Montesquieu creation of the branches how would our Government be today?
I believe almost all the Enlightenment thinkers had great idea, but choosing one I say Montesquieu was the best. If it weren't for his knowledge, our government today may not have the three branches- legislative, judicial, and executive. Our government has been successfully progressed thanks to his brilliant idea of dividing rule evenly. No one has the power to absolute rule. This was all thanks to Montesquieu's knowledge.
