Do you believe in witchcraft? Explain why or why not

  1. I don't belive in witchcraft. I believe it is just something that people back in the day made up for a way to discriminate "different" people. If it was real, then why wouldn't people today just come out and say "I have magical powers." But no, that's all in the movies. They say if you wish really hard then it will come true. Why if a person wishes for magical powers, it never comes true...? I wont believe it until I see it. So again no, I don't believe in witchcraft.

  2. I do not believe in witch craft. This is do to the fact that during the time period that witch craft was believed to have occurred, the "witches" were actually just the people from Africa and the Latin Americans practicing their beliefs. To the Europeans, these practices were so unlike what they were used to that they labled the people as "witches," without any further thought on the subject. Another reason that I believe witch craft to be unlikely is that althought these types of powers are commonly displayed in fictional pieces, whether it be movies television, or books, there is no person on the planet with proven "magical powers." There is also no proof of the people who were claimed to be witches ever having magical powers. In reality I believe that what witch craft basically meant i=was a different form of religion which the Europeans saw as hainous and criminal. So in conclusion I do not believe in witch craft.

  3. In my opinion Witchcraft is not real. It might be real i movies, but not in reality. It wouldn't be normal for someone to use a flying broom or have a magic wands. Imagine living life like Harry Potter. Every thing would be different and wierd. Today, we don't hear anyone saying they have magic powers, unless they're crazy or just pretending. I won't believe witchcraft unless if I saw evidance up close and in person.

  4. I don't imagine that Witchcraft is real. If it were real then people of this century would have magial powers. Perhaps in the past many people believed in different b1eliefs causing them to be considered withces. As you walk the towns of the United States, no one is passing you waving a magic wond. Even if you take an airplane to another state, you do not pass a person on a broom stick flying. I don't believe in withcraft because it's not likely that there's witchcraft in this century.

  5. I believe in the supernatural to an extent. I believe that there may be or have been people who have/had powers, psychic powers such as telepathy and telekinesis. It is something that can be related to god and religion. If you believe in it, it will affect your lifestyle. If you don't, it won't affect you. If you don't believe in witch craft, then how do you explain psychics telling your fortune before hand and in the end it actually happens? Do you believe in aliens, people or creatures out of this planet or even universe? People who practice witchcraft are exactly that, aliens. How do you explain human witness who have been abducted from this planet? Who have they been abducted by?

  6. I do not believe in witchcraft. Witchcraft was most likely made during the time of religious wars when religions were very strict. There may have been a group of people who wanted their own type of religion. they convinced themselves that they have the power that not one religion has. they began with their black magic which was considered demonic. they went against the religion causing them to be outcasted. so i believe that only witches believe in witchcraft because the convince themselves that it is true.

  7. In my opinion I don't believe in witchcraft. Magic isn't real and the only place I saw it was in movies or on tv. Long ago, someone's brain wasn't as trained as our brains are today. No one taught them back then that they were wrong. If a group of people said that someone was right, everyone else had to believe it too. There wasn't someone having evidence that it wasn't true, so they believed what they wanted to. Witchcraft wasn't a proven statement it was a theory. I won't belive in witchcraft until I see it.

  8. Do I believe in witchcraft? No, however I do believe that there are bad powers out there just like how there are good ones. If witchcraft was real, we would have found some evidence or just something leading to it saying that it's there. During the times of religious wars, 16th and 17th century, witchcraft was taken very seriously and over hundred thousand were up for trials and 75 percent were sentenced guilty of it. Most of them were widowed, old, and or single women. Because of torture, they were forced to confess. So I don't believe in witchcraft being "real" there are just some people who have a view of world as being haunted by evil spirits.

  9. Everyone has there own opinion and in my opinion witchcraft is not real. In the past people used to say that there were witches but I believe that was done so they could discriminate between people. It gave them a reason to execute people that they disliked. In the movies we watch now on days they show people who have magic, which is all fake. If magic was real there would be people in this world who would dominate everyone else with their magical powers. But that doesn't happen. If there were witches we would be a world with witches flying around on there brooms and every other person would have a wand. Witchcraft does not exist so its not true. I believe what I see, so the day I see it I will believe it.

  10. I do not feel that i am in a position to form an opinion on the reality of witchcraft, based on my lack of knowledge on the subject. Of course I think that if there was such a thing as witchcraft it would be far from the stereotypes and general images our minds conjure when we think of witches. "Magic" and "flying broomsticks" most certainly do not exist, and those concepts seem silly. However, that does not rule out all possibilities.

  11. I believe in witch craft. Back in the old days there have been people who claimed to do things that are humanly impossible. I also believe in it because of some things that happened back then are impossible to explain like falling off a building and still surviving. Some incidents like the Witch of Endor also brought me to this conclusion, this was a woman who brought up a ghost. Besides this there are also cases where people have powers which cannot be explained. People like ghost whisperers or people with the power to communicate through telekinesis. Conclusion, which craft is real.

  12. I, personally, do not believe in witchcraft. I do not think that there were or are any people that have super natural powers. The belief in witchcraft started during the religion wars. People thought that they were witches if they practiced a different religion because they thought their religion was the only normal one. They immediately thought since they were different they must be some sort of a witch or another extra terrestrial. This is why I do not believe in witchcraft.

  13. No i dont think witchcraft is real. Maybe other people do believe in or they beleive they can do it, but in my opinion i think its fake. the whole magic act is unreal. Poeople may have thought others were witches because they were different. If witchcraft was real then we would all be doing magic and putting a curse on one another.

  14. I don't believe that witchcraft is real. I think that people were practicing their own beliefs and they were misunderstood. Any kind of super natural powers or magic would be impossible. However there may have been people attempting weird things that nobody had seen before. That probably wasn't taken as a good thing and instead of it being inspected, it was called witchcraft and caused people trouble.

  15. I believe that withcraft is a myth. There is no such thing as magic or spells. People who believe in witches and witchcraft probably believe that they can do magic. That would be wrong. There are no spells that you can cast on people. Whenever something like this happens there is always a trick behind it. It never actually happens.

  16. I personally do not believe in witchcraft, but somewhere along the line I do believe that very few people have a gift to do certain unexplainable things. Why I don't believe in witchcraft is because the thought of words being combined to make spells is obsered. I think the "magical" powers said to exist are nonsense because magic comes out to just be illusions. There have been stories in which man kind has been able to perform supernatrual events. But I don't believe in such things as witches and witchcraft.

  17. I do not believe in witchcraft like most other people do. I do not believe in "black magic" and magic spells, but I do beleive that there are things in this world that cannot be explained by science. Things like levatatiion and ivisibilty I know have no place in this world and are definately forged and fake, but I do believe that paranormal things do occur. That is how I feel about witchcraft

  18. I don't belive in witchcraft because its just something that was made up to discrimante people with diffrent beliefs. people were acused of being witches because people couldnt explain things they did or because they had diffrent oppinions on religions.it is just dumb to think that words can turn someone into a frog.that is just what i think.
